    We stayed in one of these restored cottages at Low Head Pilot Station just after Easter 2017 and loved it. The cottage had been tastefully renovated with a beautiful bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and lovely bedroom and living room. The fireplace was a very nice surprise. Low Head is a very pleasant little town and we enjoyed our walks to the lighthouse and beach. You can get groceries from the local IGA or drive the short distance to George Town which has a couple of pubs, a Woolworths and more shops. We found Low Head to be a very pleasant base to explore the beautiful Tamar Valley (East and West sides) and Launceston. We would definitely stay at the Pilot Station again and highly recommend it!

    Well set out extensive collection. Run by knowledgeable volunteers. (Learned of an historic New Zealand connection!)
